I am most proud of the value that artists have expressed to me that they find with MATB. My goal is to expand to other states, but right now my focus is on my hometown. My goal is for artists that are in the position I was in late last year, where I felt alone and as though I didn’t have any means of connecting with other artists that share the same interests that I have, you can network with a small collective of artists, present your product, and link with someone that wants to do business with you.įor example, if a beatmaker says, ” I have all these beats, but no one to rap on them.” come to a MATB gathering, play your beats for the rappers in attendance, sell it and now you have a relationship with rappers in the area. I signed up to receive first-hand experience working in a studio at Empire Sound Studio in Carrollton via The Recording Connection Institute. After my daughter was born, I stopped producing to focus on my family and went full force working in the corporate world, I worked for major companies for at most two years, then I would get burned out and quit.Īfter quitting my last corporate job after five years, I decided it is time to full-on pursue what I am passionate about so that I can finally do something that will fulfill me and not have to worry about quitting another five years down the line. I was apart of a rap group, and we needed original beats, I learned how to use FL Studio, and from that moment on I focused solely on production.
